At Bernard Zell we teach our students to be strong, proud upstanders who live by Jewish values. That means standing up to hate, even and especially when it's uncomfortable to do so. On this evening, the 84th anniversary of Kristallnacht (“Night of Broken Glass”), I'd like to take a moment to acknowledge and honor a group of outstanding recent graduates, who have responded to the scourge of antisemitism in a courageous, articulate and positive way.

Starting with the 2022-23 school year, progress reports and report cards from Bernard Zell will only include academic records and will no longer include attendance information. This shift will allow us to only share the necessary information when records are requested for distribution to other schools or institutions.
Our winter term begins December 12 and registration opens Tuesday, November 15 at 10:00 a.m. via Campbrain. View all the available offerings for students in grade JK-8th, including class descriptions and pricing by clicking below.
At Bernard Zell, we are committed to building compassionate and kind human beings and we pride ourselves in being an inclusive community. Please remember that as adults, it is our responsibility to model such qualities and values for our students within our everyday activities. To ensure all members of our kehillah (community) feel included, we have updated our Party Policy to reflect those commitments:
Throughout the school year, we—the BZ Social Workers, Sarah Sweet (Middle School Social Worker) and Leah Frydman (Early Childhood and Lower School Social Worker)—will be highlighting some of the social-emotional curriculum and events our community is engaging with in select issues of Ma Nishma.
Thank you to all of our families who have already donated to the 2022-23 Annual Campaign! Every other week in Ma Nishma, we'll provide an updated listing—click below to view the list as of November 9, 2022.
