Yad B’Yad  (hand in hand)—is a PTC-led committee that brings our community together through service projects, charity drives, and volunteer opportunities supporting local organizations and people in need.

This year, Yad B’Yad is excited to offer a monthly mitzvah from September through May, giving Bernard Zell families meaningful ways to give back together throughout the school year.

We’re kicking things off on Wednesday, September 30 with Hersh’s Fridge! In collaboration with the JEFF (Jewish Experience for Families) Committee, join us after school in Makom Kehillah to assemble bagged lunches that will be delivered to Hersh’s Fridge for community members in need.

Hersh’s Fridge is a kosher outdoor community refrigerator and pantry that provides free food to neighbors in need in a dignified and accessible way, while honoring the memory of Hersh Goldberg-Polin.
