7th Grade Advisors: Ms. Ludwig, Middle School Math Teacher and Ms. Segil, Humanities Teacher
In an effort to build community, the 7th graders have been participating in teambuilding activities every Tuesday during Gibush. The 7th grade advisors have created games and activities that encourage participation, collaboration, embracing challenges, and friendly competition. Some activities include: basketball knockout, noodle-balloon keep up, hula-hoop rock-paper-scissors, index card challenge, move on and look back, and more! Students are sometimes grouped by their Gibushim (advisories), or travel group, encouraging all students to work together in a variety of ways.
Gibushim function as small groups within our larger Middle School kehillah (community), and the greater BZ kehillah. Our primary objectives revolve around embracing the five "Be" Statements during our daily gatherings and activities: Be Considerate, Be Trustworthy, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be A Problem Solver. By doing so, we aim to instill these values in our students, carrying them with us not just during school days, but also as we venture beyond the boundaries of BZ.
The 7th grade team encourages you to ask your child about some of their favorite teambuilding Tuesday activities we have done this year so far!
