Summer reading programs offer a well-rounded approach to improving your reading abilities, covering all the bases: phonics, fluency, spelling, comprehension and vocabulary. We find that when students participate in our annual summer reading program, they come back to school in the fall ready to learn. 

Summer reading is fun and easy and online! Click the button below or visit bernardzell.org/summerreading to find everything you need to know about the Summer Reading at Bernard Zell program for students entering first through eighth grades for the 2023-24 school year. You’ll find Lower School, Hebrew and Middle School reading lists as well as the online reading logs. Every student who completes their summer reading will also receive a fun reward when school resumes in the fall!
