SK 107
SKers recently had a phenomenal week celebrating the big 1-0-0! The energy was high as we officially marked the 100th day of school with a massive celebration of learning and fun. A huge highlight was seeing every student proudly present their unique 100th Day Projects, explaining the creative ways they grouped their objects.
There were a variety of activities that we completed throughout the week. The excitement continued during our centers, where students raced to the finish playing “Roll to 100,” pieced together tricky hundred chart puzzles, and read 100 themed guided reading books!
We didn't just count; we explored, built, and wrote, too! Students let their imaginations run wild in their 100 Days of SK books, dreaming up what they would love to eat or collect in massive quantities. Our interactive “100s Museum” was a total hit, challenging curious minds to use pan balances to compare items like popcorn and chalk, estimate baggies of mystery items, and engineer towering structures with 100 stacking cups. We also loved helping the main character in Hetty’s 100 Hats keep track of her collection, using our sharp addition skills to count all the way to the century mark.
To top off an already jam-packed week, our "Women Wednesday" spotlight shone on the incredible Sacagawea, where we learned all about her contributions—and even spotted her on the dollar coin! It was a week overflowing with hands-on discovery, mathematical thinking, and so much joy. We are so proud of how far these learners have come in 100 days!
