SK Celebrates 100 Days of Senior Kindergarten
Emily Raisher, Early Childhood Teacher

SK 110 celebrated 100 days of senior kindergarten! Students have been preparing for this day all year long. After months of exploring letters, numbers, authors, rainforests, and more, they finally reached this milestone day. In preparation for the celebration, each student created a 100’s day project. The only guideline was to somehow group 100 objects, by fives, tens, twenties or fifties. Each student used his or her creativity to design and execute an authentic representation of 100. After all of the students' hard work, we invited families into the classroom for our annual 100-day "interactive" museum where they were challenged to complete various activities. They stacked cheerios and cups, compared weights of 100 objects, and sweated through 100 calisthenics! Finally, the students sang "happy 100 days of school" with the entire SK and enjoyed a delicious slice of cake. We are looking forward to learning hundreds of more things throughout the rest of the year!
