Over the last few weeks, Ms. Kotler's 2nd-grade students have been studying opinion writing. Students have been writing letters to family members and friends persuading them to watch the student's favorite movie or read their favorite books. The second graders engaged in prewriting sessions using graphic organizers, they used their graphic organizers to create their letters and then edited their work using an editing checklist both in a group setting or independently. Once they completed the writing process the class gathered on Zoom to share and celebrate all of their hard work, everyone was so proud of their accomplishments!
