Gary Weisserman, Head of School
Throughout this school year, Dr. Rachel Fish, a celebrated academic with 20 years of experience in the fields of Israeli history, Zionist thought and Middle Eastern studies is helping to guide the Bernard Zell community in a deeper exploration of these challenging topics.
As a friend and colleague of Bernard Zell, we’re excited to celebrate Dr. Fish who appears on the cover of the November/December issue of Hadassah Magazine honoring “The Power of Purpose: Women Effecting Change.”
Last month, Dr. Fish shared with us the history of antisemitism, how it has transformed and the ways in which it manifests today. This overview provided a framework for our parent community to think about approaches that support our students as they navigate challenging encounters.
Later this month, Dr. Fish will focus on the creation of the state of Israel from a historical perspective. Registration for the second session is already open, families are welcome to sign-up at their convenience:
Tuesday, December 14 from 8:00 - 9:15 p.m.

We encourage you to read more about Dr. Fish in Hadassah Magazine and dive into some of the online resources that will bring more depth to her presentations.
