Nursery Students Continue to Spread Kindness in "With My Own Two Hands" Video
Jaclyn Freitag, Nursery Teacher

Throughout the year, the Nursery class has focused on the value of chesed and how they each can plant seeds of kindness, love and hope within our kehillah (community). In the classroom, the nursery students would often bake some yummy treats or create a collaborative art piece to give to the various helpers in our school in hopes of making their hearts feel loved and appreciated. During distance learning, they continued to spread kindness, love and positivity to others by making kindness charms out of salt dough and adding painted rocks with words of inspiration to our BZ Community Tree of Hope. As we reflect on this past year together, we are reminded that even the youngest in a group can have a positive impact on the world.

To honor and celebrate our youngest leaders, the teachers have created a video showcasing the wonderful ways in which the nursery children have used their hands for helping, creating, building and caring for others throughout the year. It is titled “With My Own Two Hands,” and inspired by the song written by Ben Harper.

I can change the world, with my own two hands.
Make it a better place, with my own two hands.
Make it a kinder place, with my own two hands.
I'm gonna make it a brighter place,
I'm gonna make it a safer place,
I'm gonna help the human race,
With my own, with my own two hands.
