For their informational writing unit, first grade students spent several weeks researching various ocean animals. They used QR codes, websites, books and EPIC to research both in groups and individually. Throughout the process, students presented their facts to the class and then wrote ocean animal research books including a table of contents and illustrations with text features! 

To culminate the unit, first graders Zoomed with Ms. Malkin's third-grade class to share and listen to their informational books. They also had an amazing publishing party while enjoying a special sweet treat!
