JK Students Use Recycled Materials to Create Something New
Marthe Spizman, Early Childhood Teacher

Junior Kindergarten students have recently participated in really fun and engaging virtual experiences! Last Monday, JK 105 had a virtual "beach day" during their morning meeting Zoom call. Throughout their meeting, they highlighted some of the many fun things to do in Israel while prepping for Yom Ha'Atzmaut celebrations.

On Wednesday, JK teachers held their second Zoom pop-up play date. This class focused on using recycled materials to make something new. Teachers first read the story Not a Box by Antoinette Portis. Afterward, the students were focused and dedicated to their upcycled creations. They made dollhouses, towns, robots, fish tanks and more. Take a look below at some of the creations our Junior Kindergarteners produced!
