🦈 Enter the Tank! 4th Graders Become Entrepreneurs
Ms. Candice Brauer, 4th grade General Studies Teacher
Our 4th graders are deep into their exciting Shark Tank projects! As part of this engaging, cross-curricular unit, students are developing their own products and learning how to pitch them just like entrepreneurs on the show Shark Tank. Students are collaborating in teams, practicing their communication, teamwork, and shared responsibilities as they work together to identify real-world problems and design creative product solutions.
The students are utilizing creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration to design their very own prototypes. Groups are also writing persuasive pitches and calculating basic costs and profits of their products. This project integrates skills from writing, math, and public speaking while teaching the basics of entrepreneurship, including budgeting, marketing, and sales. It’s been amazing to see the innovation and enthusiasm our young entrepreneurs are bringing to their work. We can’t wait for them to present their ideas to our panel of “sharks!”
