Register: History of Antisemitism and How it Has Transformed
Gary Weisserman, Head of School
Here at Bernard Zell we have a powerful commitment to—in the words of Holocaust survivor Magda Brown—fighting hate whenever we see it. As you would expect, we are particularly focused on preparing our community to combat the scourge of antisemitism, which—in all its many forms—has been on the rise, both here and abroad. This commitment extends to our entire community, and as one part of our community education program, we are pleased to be able to present a multi-part series examining the history of antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment.
We are joined in this effort by Dr. Rachel Fish, a celebrated academic with 20 years of experience in the fields of Israeli history, Zionist thought and Middle Eastern Studies. Read her full bio here.
In the first session, held on the anniversary of Kristallnacht, Dr. Fish will share with us the history of antisemitism, how it has transformed and the ways in which it manifests today. This overview will provide a framework for our parent community to think about approaches that support our students as they navigate challenging encounters.

Tuesday, November 9 from 8:00 - 9:15 p.m.
