Yesterday, 47 Bernard Zell eighth-graders departed Chicago for an unforgettable 10-dayTiyul in Israel. Tiyul at Bernard Zell is a two-week long educational journey that brings together many threads of general and Jewish curriculum studied during the students’ foundation years at Bernard Zell. "The long awaited Tiyul trip to Israel has finally arrived! For some, this is their first trip to Israel. For others, this is just one of many trips to Israel. As our peer, Yonatan, put it: “Even though I come here once a year, the feeling of joy I have when I land never fades.” Those who are coming to Israel for the first time experienced a similar feeling of homecoming. As many students exited the plane, they shared a feeling of disbelief that they had finally become a part of this Tiyul tradition. Watch this video for proof!"
