Interested in volunteering to be a tutor? Connecting Chicago, created by Bernard Zell Alum Lucy Gold '18 and her classmate Rem Johannknecht, offers free virtual tutoring to students, kindergarten through 12th grade, who are struggling with changes to learning caused by COVID-19. They already have over 200 students being tutored in their program and can accommodate IEPS and tutoring in three languages. They have also been featured by many news outlets including Teen Vogue, Chicago Parent and Scholastic.
Connecting Chicago is looking for more high school and college-age volunteer tutors to join their team! The deadline to sign up for the quarter two session is October 31, 2020. If you are interested in volunteering, please click here.
We are so proud of our Bernard Alum. Kol hakavod, Lucy (and Rem)!
