Students in Ms. Einberger's 5th-grade class held mini-debates this afternoon in their Argument and Advocacy unit. In this lesson, students dive into research topics with groups and learn how to properly debate a topic by stating their claim and giving evidence to support that claim. The students debated issues such as whether or not zoos should be banned and if plastic bags should stop being made and sold.
