🔬 Fourth Grade Learns the Skeletal System and Mr. Simeon's Endoskeleton Song!
Mr. Simeon, Lower School Science Teacher

BZ fourth graders just completed a very intense study of the human skeletal system. During the unit, they learned the names of the main bones of the body. They looked at models of skeletons, learned Mr. Simeon’s “Endoskeleton Song", and created their own model that demonstrates how muscles and bones work together so our bodies can move.

For the unit's culmination, students dissected a chicken wing and learned about homologous structures – anatomical structures that evidence the evolutionary connections between different organisms. Engaging in hands-on activities to explore the human skeletal system provides an excellent learning experience for our students.
