📒 A Message from Rachel Silverberg, Head of Lower School | April 2, 2025
Rachel Silverberg, Head of Lower School
Dear Lower School Families,
It was a pleasure sharing in the enthusiasm and accomplishments of our students during spring conferences. The strong partnerships, open communication, and mutual appreciation between home and school continue to remind me what a special community this is. As we enter the final quarter of the year, there is so much to look forward to.
Having just wrapped up a fabulous Purim celebration, we are now fully immersed in our Pesach (Passover) preparations. Walking through the hallways, you can hear students singing the Four Questions, discussing the Haggadah, and exploring the remarkable elements of the Passover story. Leading up to Spring Break, Lower School students will have the opportunity to participate in their own Seders—another meaningful way to celebrate our Jewish heritage.
As the year comes to a close, we are excited to welcome you to several special events, including our First Grade Shabbat celebration, Second Grade Siddur Ceremony, Third Grade Synagogue Project, and Fourth Grade Siyum (celebration of a completion of learning). Additionally, we will honor Yom HaZikaron and come together for a joyful celebration of Yom Ha’atzmaut. We will also highlight our students' artistic and musical talents during the Arts and Humanities Festival on Special Friends Day, Friday, May 16.
As always, we keep our students at the heart of our planning and will continue to uphold the structures and routines that support their growth. Thank you for being part of this wonderful community and for joining us in celebrating our students’ achievements.
With gratitude and appreciation,
Rachel Silverberg, Head of Lower School
