Wednesday, February 1 is Global Play Day! GPD is a day celebrated around the world for kids to use their imagination and 'play their way,' which means all play is unstructured.
There is much research proving how important play is for kids developmentally. These days, students have less and less time to play, interact, use their imaginations or socialize freely.
Students brought in toys and games from home and found fun creative ways to play with each other in the classroom. We played Rack-o, Equilibrio, card games, played with dogs, a giant horse, speed stacks, silent ball, Kids Create Absurdity and so much more!
