Special Friends' Day 2020 Reimagined with Week Long Virtual Experience

Special Friends’ Day is a celebration that our community looks forward to every year. Students love welcoming the important people in their lives to school so they can show off their hard work, creative triumphs and share all that Bernard Zell has to offer.

This year, we are reimagining the Special Friends’ Day experience as a weeklong, virtual event that maintains the spirit of the day and expands opportunities for engagement, while still ensuring the safety of our full community. Rather than an in-person gathering on May 8, Special Friends’ Day will now begin on Monday, May 4 with a variety of virtual experiences throughout the week, including opportunities to engage with students, teachers and Bernard Zell leadership, concluding on Friday, May 8. While the format might be different, it will be just as meaningful for you—and for the students—as it is every year.

Please save these dates now, and following Passover, you will receive a comprehensive schedule of virtual events and simple instructions for how to participate. In the meantime, we encourage you to visit our distance learning resource page and consider attending other Bernard Zell experiences throughout the next month. We look forward to the warmth and joy of celebrating this special day with you!
