The Nursery students have taken advantage of the beautiful weather while exploring the new outdoor play spaces. In the Early Childhood classroom, outdoor play promotes physical exercise, risk taking and loving kindness for the natural world. The children love to "cook" fresh challah and alphabet soup in the mud kitchen, carefully balance as they walk across the tree logs and are so incredibly brave as they move across the newly installed climbing wall.
The Nursery students have also gathered together as a Kehillah to enjoy snack in the outdoor community area. After snack, the Nursery children used their gross motor skills to climb and jump off the giant boulders. Encountering these new adventures have also welcomed new routines and expectations of each playground space to ensure everyone is safe at all times. We look forward to spending our mornings exploring outside in the new outdoor play spaces as much as possible this year!
