Fifth Graders Create Identity Maps with Original Designs

This week, fifth graders worked on creating identity maps that reflect who they are after exploring questions like, "what is important to me?", "what do I deeply care about?", "what makes me happy?" and "what connects to me?" They created artistic representations of their personal identities with everything from sports symbols to authentic, original designs. We were so impressed by students' thinking and reflecting about who they are and what in their life is meaningful to them.
