8th Graders Test Their Culinary Skills

During the last few weeks, 8th-grade students have learned, practiced, and engaged in conversations in Hebrew about food. From how to buy something in the Shuk or the Supermarket, to how to cook in the Israeli kitchen. They finished the unit today by cooking Shakshuka - a wonderful Israeli dish made with tomatoes and eggs. The students chopped onions, cut tomatoes, smashed garlic, and mixed it all together in a pan to create a yummy dish that we all savored!
