Day Four: Thursday, May 8 | D.C. '25
Ms. O'Neill
Today marked the final day of our incredible trip to Washington, D.C., and we made the most of every moment! We began our day back at the Capitol with a guided tour, but not before Eli, Palmer, and Raffi shared their presentation, filled with many fun facts. Walking through the grand halls and standing beneath the famous Capitol Dome was truly inspiring. Students learned about the process of lawmaking, the history of the building, and the important role of Congress. Some students even caught a quick glimpse of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer as they were leaving the building! After our morning on the Hill, we went to the Pentagon City Food Court and then released some extra energy with recess, which included a class kickball game: 7-1 versus 7-2. Before we knew it, it was time to head back to Chicago and say goodbye to Washington, D.C. We traveled to Baltimore to catch our flight home, tired but full of memories, stories, and new experiences to share.
