Maya A.: The Jewish School of Rome
Today we visited the Jewish Day School located in the Rome Ghetto. We were split into four rooms and within those rooms we were able to meet and connect with Italian students who welcomed us with open arms. They were inviting, kind, and so relatable so our conversations about daily life, their favorite things, and fun idioms was exciting! It was really fun to see what students our age are like in different countries, what’s similar and what’s different. We also played two truths and a lie which really helped us learn and connect with one another! This was an experience we will never forget, we all had the best time!
Sophie R.: Shopping and sushi
On Monday, we had a delicious sushi lunch at Baghetto Pastry. We all sat down and enjoyed unique combos like mango sushi and apple sushi. Afterward, everyone started walking around near the Jewish Ghetto for an hour to enjoy shopping, eating gelato, and chilling with friends. We all had an entertaining but calming afternoon, and are all grateful for the time we got to be together!
Rapha W.: The Vatican

Today we went to the Vatican where we saw a lot of ancient Roman and Greek architecture. We roamed through many hallways covered with ancient Roman statues carved out of marble. We got to see the Sistine Chapel which was a beautiful sight to see, along with many paintings that showed the stories of the Old and New Testament. It was gorgeous.
