Leaders in Training
Do you see yourself as a leader? Strong leadership skills are a great way to set yourself up for a bright future. Bernard Zell is excited to announce a brand new enrichment program geared toward our Middle School students to help develop their leadership skills!
In this challenging and rewarding program, students will expand their organizational skills, patience, and strategies for working with younger children, and will learn how to implement creative ideas. The curriculum will include learning child development, health, safety, and leadership. This will be done through “field work” in the after school classes.
Leaders in Training will assist enrichment class instructors or BZ Beyond staff in their classrooms. LITs will gain experience in areas such as conflict resolution skills, types of leadership skills, and practice learning how to work as a team.
Middle School students will be given the choice to pick an after school program that appeals to them. Every three weeks students will have the choice to change classes. After the first two classes students will meet with our LIT Instructor, Johnny Krug Student Activities Coordinator, to have a structured conversation about the different skills they have learned, areas in which they wish to grow, and how they can use these skills outside of school.
This program has limited number of spaces available, we are opening this program up to first come first serve. Registration will open November 5th and each class will accept two LITs. The class will have a fee of only $175.00.
If you have any questions please email our Student Activities Coordinator Johnny Krug at Jkrug@bernardzell.org.
For the 2018 Winter Session we are proud to offer the following classes. Read through the descriptions for each day, choose the classes for your child(ren) and then click on the Registration Form tab to sign up. Registration closes December 1st, 2018.
