Description: 

Intermediate Chess Class

The course is designed for students who have completed at least one Session of Chess or the equivalent. The students will learn about chess strategy, tactics, and theory in the 3 phases of the game: the Opening, the Middle Game, and the End Game. The course will focus on solving chess problems and learning checkmating techniques. The students will also put theory into practice by playing their peers with guided instruction.

Advanced Chess Class 

For students familiar with many of the skills in the Intermediate level, the Advanced Chess Class will focus on studying the games of the great Grandmasters and the Imbalances on the Chess Board which are the key to understanding Middle Game Planning. Opening theory will also be revisited at a more in-depth level. The students will also put theory into practice by playing their peers with guided instruction.
