Teachers will be trained in recognizing symptoms and will also be trained to handle simple health issues in the classroom. Nurses will be mobile and will travel to classrooms when texted to examine students or to deliver medication. Sick and well students will be triaged and sent to different rooms with the “COVID Area” to be properly ventilated, cleaned and disinfected daily.
We will continue to investigate broad-based testing strategies, such as pooled testing and antigen testing, as such services become available.
In the event a cohort or grade needs to shift to distance learning mode, students will maintain their same block schedule utilizing Zoom, Google Classroom, BZ Connect and other online platforms. A decision-making matrix as to when that shift will occur, either for cohorts or for the entire school, is being finalized and will be shared in the weeks to come.
