By empowering our children with an education grounded in critical thinking, creativity, and Jewish values, we develop exceptional young people who put those values into action—laying the strongest foundation for the future of the Jewish community. In doing so, we move closer to our vision: a Jewish community that thrives in Chicago, and a Chicago that thrives because of its Jewish community. 

For almost 80 years we have relied on the generous support of our entire community -- parents, faculty, alumni, grandparents, and friends -- to carry our vision into the future.

Your philanthropic support makes a tangible difference. Over the years, donors helped to fund:

• Increase security by adding personnel to ensure the safety of our entire community 

• Provide students with enrichment activities across divisions and disciplines  

• Help fund the robotics program

• Support Visual and Performing arts including the 7th grade play, 8th grade Operetta, and Arts and Humanities Festival 

• Provide faculty and staff with meaningful professional development opportunities

• Continue to expand our Athletic Programs and offerings 

• Expanded tuition assistance

• And so much more!

For this Fiscal Year, as outlined by the FY24 BZ Strategic Plan, dollars from the Annual Campaign will also support:

• Significant investment in faculty recruitment and retention

• Another Shaliach (emissary) from Israel to teach in the Jewish Studies department

• Key updates to the math curriculum as well as a Math Instructional Lead and additional Math Teacher

• An EC Education Specialist

• A new Director of Jewish Studies
