At Bernard Zell we have a powerful commitment to—in the words of Holocaust survivor Magda Brown—fighting hate whenever we see it. As you would expect, we are particularly focused on preparing our community to combat the scourge of antisemitism, which—in all its many forms—has been on the rise, both here and abroad. This commitment extends to our entire community, and as one part of our community education program, we are pleased to be able to present a multi-part series examining the history of antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment.

We are joined in this effort by Dr. Rachel Fish, a celebrated academic with 20 years of experience in the fields of Israeli history, Zionist thought and Middle Eastern Studies. Recognized for her teaching prowess and pedagogical approaches, Dr. Fish has published extensively and is frequently called upon to advise on community interventions to reclaim an Israel discourse that is nuanced and complex while remaining accessible to a broad audience. We look forward to exploring these challenging but important topics together as a community.
