Track Team Shines At 4th Annual Meet
On a picture perfect Wednesday afternoon, Bernard Zell hosted its 4th Annual Track Invitational. There were over twenty amazing volunteers made up of parents, coaches, teachers, as well as parents and coaches from other schools. Watching students cheer on their younger or older teammates and seeing opposing runners hug each other after a hard-fought 100M final was truly remarkable. Mazel tov to all of our runners and everyone who helped make this meet a success!
In the next Ma Nishma on Friday, May 31, we will be sending out a Draft Donor Roll for families to review for accuracy. If you have not yet donated to the Annual Campaign, please click below to make a donation and to be included in the Draft Donor Roll.
Please Use Broadway Street Crosswalk
Bernard Zell remains committed to safety and security for all students and families in our community, including during student pick-up and drop-off times. To enhance safety, our families need to use the existing pedestrian crosswalk to navigate Broadway when it is necessary to cross the street. To that end, we will station security outside the gate on Broadway to direct pedestrians to the crosswalk. We ask that you use these safety measures and cross the street responsibly. We are so thankful for our security team who continue to ensure the safety of our community each day!

Behind the Fence Club Thanks Bulley & Andrews
The Behind the Fence club had their final meeting last Friday where club members participated in a final walk-through before the summer break. One of their favorite spots in the new building are the windows that overlook the Field of Dreams. The students concluded their meeting by honoring the Bulley & Andrews team with a special thank you for their hard work in making our new campus a reality.

BZ Library Unveils LEGO Wall
On Tuesday, the library unveiled its new LEGO wall. The ribbon cutting ceremony took place with our third grade helpers who spent time sorting the LEGOs by shape to prepare the bins for school-wide use. Karen Leavitt, Head of Lower School emphasizes the importance of the new LEGO wall, "LEGOS provide fundamentals for engineering. Students can be both creative and imaginative, while also developing spatial reasoning skills and learning about structural integrity and design." We're looking forward to seeing what our students create!
