A tour is the best way to witness our dynamic community; camaraderie amongst faculty, students and parents; and the academic vitality that makes Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day school a special place.
You’ll learn firsthand how Jewish life and study infuses our classrooms and activities and you’ll hear directly from students and alumni how Bernard Zell has enriched their lives. Please fill out our online Inquiry Form to schedule a tour.
In addition to the application and student and parent visits, Bernard Zell requires additional recommendations from your child's teachers. These forms offer the insight of an educator who has observed the applicant's intellectual, social and emotional development, and offers a unique perspective to the admissions committee.
After you have submitted your application, you can email these recommendation forms directly to your student’s current school through our Parent Admissions Portal.
Once you have submitted your materials, members of the Bernard Zell staff will visit your child’s school. We will connect with their current school in order to find the best time for us to see your child in action! This is a fun, no pressure opportunity for us to see your child. At this time, Bernard Zell is waiving the observation requirement. The school will connect with each applicant family, as well as the child's current teachers (if applicable).
If you are applying for 1st-8th Grade, shadow days are required.
In addition to a student visit, parents or guardians are required to participate in a one-on-one meeting with our Director of Admissions and the head of the department in which you are applying. Please schedule a time to meet, either in-person or virtually through your Parent Admissions Portal.
Should you have any questions or concerns at any point in this process, please contact a member of our admissions team at admissions@bernardzell.org. We look forward to getting to know you and your family.
