Nurit Rajstein Hellmann has been teaching at Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School since 2001. Born in Tel Aviv and a resident of Jerusalem, she received her bachelor's degree in Bible and Jewish History along with a teaching certificate in education from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Following her studies, she became a Bible teacher at a high school in Jerusalem. She later continued her studies and received her master's degree in library sciences from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and for several years worked at the university's law library. Nurit was invited to Chicago to direct a library program at Spertus Institute and later taught at Solomon Schechter Day School in Northbrook. She has speaking skills in five languages, and is passionate about the culture each language represents.
